Rekha’s big plans for the small screen

Looks like the ageless diva Rekha is following her ‘guru’ Amitabh Bachchan’s league quite seriously. The actress has become the latest big screen goddess to hop on the small screen bandwagon and will soon become an integral part of our telly lives.

Though the actress has turned down some of the most lucrative offers, she now feels that Television has become a necessary medium to connect with the audience.

Speaking to a news daily, the evergreen actress said, "I know, many times in the past, I have said I won’t do television But there’s a demand for me to be on television. So yes, I’m finally taking the plunge.”

Even though the timeless beauty is not divulging any plans she definitely won’t play the role of an agony aunt or a host in her television calling.

“I’ve already formulated what I want to do. It’s nothing that has been seen on television before. No talk-show or gameshow for me, thanks. It’s something entirely unique. But until I decide on the channel and other details I’d like to keep it under wraps. As you know this world is filled with clones, copycats and wannabes”, she said.

Well, with the actress holding her cards close to heart, we’ll just have to wait and watch as to how Rekha’s big plans for the small screen goes.
