Amrita Rao now on the cover of various magazines

The gorgeous Amrita Rao who donned a simple girl next door image in films like Ishq Vishk had a complete makeover in her last film My Name is Anthony Gonsalves . She was also on the cover of various magazines flaunting her new bold image.

However, Amrita believes that the makeover was not a conscious decision. “The different image changes that I have been seen in were not conscious. Yes it was something which I loved and wanted to do. But I was sitting lucky because such roles were scripted for me at those times. They just came my way. In the industry, you cannot sit and plan your looks in films. In 2006, Vivah was scripted and only I could suit the bid. I have been very particular with the kind of films I choose to be a part of. Today, with the audience getting smarter and expecting so much more, I realise that only good characters and wholesome films will give me that place in the hearts of the audiences.”

Perhaps Amrita loves to experiment a lot with looks. May be that is the reason why after My Name is Anthony Gonsalves she will be seen in a very simple avatar playing a villager in her next film Welcome to Sajjanpur. Way to go, gal!
